Top 5 Kid-Friendly Grilling Recipes

Itβs Labor Day weekend, one of the biggest grilling weekends of the year. Many things taste delicious on the grill, but some kids may disagree.
We kid-tested these recipes and got an A+ from our picky eaters, so now itβs your turn. Happy grilling! π
1. Mini Cheddar Burgers
Ingredients:
π 2 lbs. ground beef
π Cheddar cheese
π 1 small onion, diced
π Ground black pepper
π Kosher salt
π Paprika
π Slider buns
π Condiments (lettuce, pickles, ketchup, etc.)
π Bacon (optional, but delicious)
Step 1: Place ground beef, onion, pepper, salt and paprika in a large mixing bowl and mix by hand. Form into small patties.
Step 2: Shape mixture into mini burgers, about the size of your palm. Place on grill and grill for about 4 minutes on each side.
Step 3: Place slice of cheddar cheese on top and let melt, about 1 minute. Take off the grill and enjoy!
2. Cheddar Dogs
Ingredients:
π Hot dogs
π Cheddar cheese
π Hot dog buns
π Condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc.)
Step 1: Okay, these are the easiest thing to make in the world! Cut a slit in the top of the hot dog -- big enough to stuff some cheddar cheese in. Throw it on the grill for a few moments and you're done!
Top with condiments of your choice.
3. Summer Chicken Skewers
Ingredients:
π’ 2 lbs. chicken tenderloins, cut into bite size pieces
π’ Mixed sweet peppers
π’ Cherry tomatoes
π’ Kosher salt
π’ Ground black pepper
Step 1: These skewers are super easy to make! Just cut the chicken and peppers into bite sized pieces.
Step 2: Thread the pieces onto skewers and alternate with the tomatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and grill for 7-8 minutes, turning halfway through.
Note: Use grill-ready skewers. Bamboo skewers may melt on the grill unless soaked in water an hour prior.
4. Tiny Grilling Potatoes
Ingredients:
π₯ 2 lbs baby Yukon potatoes
π₯ Olive oil
π₯ Rosemary
π₯ Basil
π₯ Thyme
π₯ Ground black pepper
π₯ Kosher salt
Step 1: Wash and clean baby potatoes. Cut in halves or quarters depending on size.
Step 2: Toss potatoes, olive oil and spices in a bowl. Portion individually and put into aluminum foil. Grill on high for 25 minutes.
5. Smores Banana Boats
Ingredients:
π« Bunch of ripe bananas
π« Semi-sweet chocolate chips
π« Mini marshmallows
Steps:
Slice banana open from one end to the other. Fill with chocolate chips and top with mini marshmallows. Grill on medium-high heat for 4-6 minutes and enjoy!
